Back when Taylor was on ET every single night following Russells death they showed some home video from when she gave birth to Kennedy. Her face was nice and full and she looked really pretty, not like the freaky skeleton thing that she looks like now. So then, that means that she must have done whatever she did within the last 5 years. Who would take such a pretty face and do that to it and who in the hell thinks that looks good?

I wonder if they know there are countries where there's no such tradition or law regarding women taking their hubby's last name when married. Why? Because women are NEVER considered part of the family even when they get married. It's one form of many, many discriminations against women. So, women in those countries feel excluded from the family.

You are correct that many countries have different traditions, but don't assume that all the traditions stem from the same reason. In the U.S. you are not "supposed to" take your husband's last name it is a choice. Husbands could also choose to take the woman's last name.

After I got married they sent me a letter saying they needed a copy of my marriage license, which I sent, which they lost. Never thought about it again, but I did notice that every time I got those statements they send you every couple of years it was in my maiden name. About 5 years ago I went to get my driver license renewed, after waiting in that hell hole they call the DMV for about 17 hours I was told that there was a problem with my name and social security # and they could not renew my license. What? Turns out that after 9/11 you could not get a drivers license or renew it if your name does not match your social security # exactly, something to do with the Patriot Act. All this time my name was never legally changed, so fine whatever, I said I would just put my license in my maiden/legal name. Easy right? But nooooo the DMV would not allow me to renew it like that unless I could produce three forms of ID showing that I use my maiden name all the time. I actually do use it as my middle name and it is on every bill and credit card etc. I have in addition to my married name but they were not budging. I was seriously ready to jump over the desk and choke the life out of someone. Basically I was forced to change my name in order to get my license renewed, so I had to drive without a license for about a month waiting for for the SS administration to change it. As if there isn't enough reason to hate the fucking terrorists.

I had to go back to the town hall of my birth place with my father to get a certified copy so that I could get a drivers license. If both of my parents had been dead I guess I would have been shit out of luck. They almost didn't give it to us because my father didn't have a photo license at the time (didn't used to be a requirement in NJ) but I think the woman saw murder in my eyes and let it slide. Anyway Sentinel we don't really care. In fact we hope your husband finds you on the computer and brings you to the town square for a good old fashioned wife stoning.

Ta da. Really, who cares about this endless back and forth bitching? You do it or you don't. End of story. What a stupid fucking conversation. Anyway, Sugs, how do you know that's a stage name?
