At no point did I ever ask what his source was, nor did I ever criticize him for refusing to reveal his source. At no point did I ever call him out for not providing a source.

I didn't even realize EC101 was posting an "Ozzy beats Cochran" spoiler until his second response to me. Prior to that, his posts had the appearance of poorly thought out baseless spec.

Yes, Janu was talked into quitting because production wanted to save Stephanie -- she & Jeff actually negotiated about it & her condition was that if she did quit, she would be allowed to be on the jury. Filming was halted while Jeff OK'd that & it was a done deal. About mortgage gate, and grant it this was from he who shall not be named, which is why I wrote "even Sash," when the cameras were still off everyone was "reamed out" about the whole thing, told very clearly they were not to mention any of this ever again & the way production handled it was the reason no one voted for Sash (which, to he who shall not be named's credit, turned out to be the case as Sash did get zero votes. However, given the source, I will concede for argument's sake that maybe the whole "mortgage gate" thing was bullshit & he who shall not be named, knowing that Sash got zeroed out, wrote up a bunch of fanfic about the reason for it). And I still say, the fact that you think production would draw a line about changing up the duels (which, again, do not involve the same level of complexity as other challenges to set up) isn't really relevant to my point that they could if they really wanted to. I didn't say they did do it; I said they could do it & that I would not put it past them to do it. IMO, it is not that big a leap from the production manipulation we see being done by Jeff on the show & know of from other sources (even if we don't count mortgage-gate). The post by Tango in reply to my initial post claimed it could not happen because of Call Sheets -- which he seems to be under the impression are sacred writings carved in stone. They aren't.

Let's not forget that in Survivor Gabon, Susie won against every odds in the last 4 immunity challenge, beating Sugar (oops, sorry), Marty and Bob Also, it is a challenge that was on RI last season and wasn't in this one until now. It is unlikely to see a Cochran win, of course, but possible. Survivor surprised us many times in the past. A Cochran win against Ozzy would confirm Maxx saying that crazy stuff are still set to happen in a pretty much dull season (and predictable) after the merge. And with the risk to sound too edgic-like, that would explain Cochran's positive edit, Ozzy's very negative edit and the whole bullies vs Cochran theme of the season. It would be the revenge of the geeks (Cochran). Of course, even if he wins, Edna will come and beat him next. Haha.

I think what is being shown in the previews is just Coach putting on an act for Cochran especially if he does in fact have a final 3 with deal with Albert/Sophie.

For me the first to come to mind was the memory duel that Matt beat Stephanie in. This is the one that gives the most level playing field (I would say Cochran would actually be the favorite). I think I'd heard about the Janu thing before, but to me it doesn't seem thaaat bad. If Janu wanted to quit but didn't want to if it meant giving up her jury spot, I don't think it's all that awful for Jeff/production to check/confirm that she would still be a jury member. Though, if it was Jeff/production who brought it up without Janu first mentioning that she was considering quitting but wanted to be on the jury, that would be a little more suspicious. I wish production hadn't so actively censored mortgage gate as it would have offered a lot of drama to the endgame we saw (and I'd imagine lead to some great FTC questions). That said, I think Sash's chances were screwed the second Jane decided to fuck his game over and make her claim. Jane is probably the survivor I have the most seething hate for, so I choose to believe she was lying, but I think she would have been successful in her sabotaging his chances even without productions help. Obviously the point stands that production can change call sheets if they want to, I was mostly saying that I nonetheless have faith that they don't abuse that power to actively favor certain contestants. Any change will obviously effect the outcome of the game, as with the F3 turning to a F2 in micronesia, but I like to think that the change is made without consideration of who it would help or hurt. I'm probably just being naive though.
