My bet is on Eli getting killed so Nucki doesn't go to jail. Maybe even Jimmy doing it to get back in Nucky's good graces. Don't know whats gonna happen to Agent Alderon though, that was crazy!

It was a little confusing. Switching back and forth from present to past. It was pretty obvious which scenes were from the present and which were from the past. But it took a minute to orient myself each time it changed. Still, overall, it was just magnificent. Hats off to Mr. Scorsese. I feel a need to re-watch this episode a few times before I understand enough to comment. But, I was very happy to see Van Alden begin to get his due. I'd guess he will kill himself before he would allow anyone to send him to the chair. But, suddenly, he no longer seems very important any longer. I still hope that it will become known how the lady D.A. is sleeping with her assistant. That should be enough to get Nucky off. And then Eli wouldn't have to die and we could see considerable drama concerning Eli. This show just keeps on getting better and better. It's hard to imagine how the producers could have put all this together at the beginning of the season. What the fuck are you talking about Ooga, sometimes your posts.... And it was pretty easy to tell what was flashback and what wasn't. All the scenes with Jimmy up until he is talking on the phone with his mother while high are before he went to war. The other scenes not involving him were in "present" time.

"I'll be upstairs" seemed fraught with meaning. What was that he killed the Commodore with? Some sort of tusk? That whole scene was Shakespearean! But at least he knows he can count on Harrow when it counts. And how weird was it when he scraped the blood off of the floor? I thought Nucky and Margaret were solid; I guess her epiphany is stronger than I thought. Did the maid tip off Nucky? Wonder how Van Alden will play out? I wonder if he'd take the $150K and split with his baby and the Swedish maid. Just a crazy thought. Hoping the finale will pay off. This season is really bringing the goods for me.

Watching the rerun, was Jimmy's nerdy friend in college that had a crush on Angela supposed to be Harvey Firestones kid? He said his father owned a tire factory in Dayton. Yep, just Wiki'd it : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvey_S._Firestone,_Jr. Poor Angela, she could have been rich instead of getting woken up in her sleep one night and executed. Van Alden hasn't got enough friends or contacts to make an escape. He should get caught quickly and would never be able to stay hidden long enough to get the money. After all, that deal is supposedly happening in the future and Van Alden will almost certainly be captured before the meeting between Capone and Luciano et all. Van Alden will likely try to kill someone before he is captured. He has no resources with which to make a getaway.

And Ooga, Scorsese only directed the pilot episode, and going by the IMDB page he only produced the first season so it doesn't look like he's involved with it anymore.
