This was 1 of the most intense, unpredictable, interesting, and unique final 4 legs I've ever seen in TAR. I'd say the most! I thought I'd pretty much seen it all in TAR but there were so many amazing things about this leg that this season has instantly catapulted amongst my favorite TARs ever.
The ways this final 4 leg was amazing:
1. 3 of the teams I've been rooting for since the beginning all made the final 3.
2. The team I disliked the most ended up getting eliminated making for an exciting and eventful leg and elimination for me.
3. Said disliked team have been dominating the entire season and with their 20-40 minute lead ahead of the other teams combined with their track record I was sickeningly sure they'd at least make the finals,
4. On top of the snowturds being the obvious front runners the spoiler thread seemed to suggest that the final 3 were going to include the snowturds. I mean technically it was either going to be the snowturds or Marcus/Amani eliminated but seeing how the leg was going, I was like sure Marcus/Amani were the ones who were going to take the fall.
5. As always, the snowturds pissed me off with their insane luck (like Jeremy and Sandy getting stalled on the sandbar and losing a 20 minute lead because of it). They were so smug about everything and mocked Sandy as she struggled with her fear of heights. When Marcus had his bad luck rock for them I just thought it was an edit that was foretelling Marcus and Amani's downfall, because Marcus forgot to give the boys the bad luck rock. Little did I know! Such an amazing TAR storyline created. <3
6. Jeremy/Sandy deserved to win the leg since they were the only team to figure out the correct answer and I'm so glad they finally won a leg! Marcus/Amani proved to be the comeback kids again. All 3 final 3 teams have all won at least 1 leg. A great leg with great results! Meanwhile the snowturds got knocked off their pedestal. <3 <3 <3
7. Never in TAR history have taxis played such a huge role in the game. I mean they play a huge role every season and leg and constantly decide teams' fates, but they literally decided the entire outcome of this leg this time. It was very interesting and new to see a taxi alliance and I was dumbfounded this episode a such a new TAR phenomena. This season just because even more unique! I thought all the teams this season were nice but I wasn't thinking it was the most exciting season. However, Bill and Cathi shocked me, and now that has really added a ton of points to the season!
8. The riddles and challenges this season have been the best ever! The season started off well in that area and thank god a mental challenge destroyed the snowturds! I can't even tell you how happy I am!!!
9. Because of the amazing taxi alliance, all 3 F3 teams all went to the mat at around the same time. I don't think that's ever happened before. It was weird and unique and amazing to see all 3 teams there at the mat, when usually there are pretty big gaps between teams as they make the finals. On top of that, it was so hilarious and awesome to see all the teams cheering each other on and so happy that they all made the finals, all made the finals together, and knocked out the awful snowturds all at the same time! <3 <3 I shared their happiness!
10. Again if you had asked me to predict the leg ahead of time from the result to how it all went down, I would've never have guessed how this leg went! Totally unique and original!
11. Going into the finals I am alright with any of the 3 teams winning. I think it's also 1 of the most even final 3s we've had too so I can't wait for a hopefully competitive and unpredictable final leg!
