This could be easily remedied if they picked a correct winner on a season that had no spoilers or incorrect spoilers. Most of the time they're wrong about unspoiled seasons, but most of the time they're right about spoiled seasons. If they truly weren't affected by spoilers, then you would expect the results from spoiled/non-spoiled seasons to be nearly identical.

I like that Maxx does it 1 episode at a time with his spoilers. Gives me time to take in and enjoy the show (if i like the spoilers and conveniently miss the show if I don't like the spoilers lol).

If they truly weren't affected by spoilers, then you would expect the results from spoiled/non-spoiled seasons to be nearly identical. I phrased a couple things improperly actually. The thing is, there are plenty of people that have good analysis, but when it comes down to the consensus ratings and consensus winner picks, it gets very muddled. Spoilers do tend to enter the fray, whether intentionally or because of people who think they can ignore the spoilers and still contribute without messing anything up. But when someone makes a blanket statement like "Edgic doesn't work" or whatever, it's annoying because there are a lot of people around who look at it more qualitatively and make good analyses but are brought down by the people who don't know what they're doing. I just think the people who are hyper-critical of Edgic probably don't completely get it anyway and are just hating on what they do not understand. These are also the people that go back and rewatch seasons and make new Edgic charts for fun, and then criticizing the official charts for being inaccurate. While the democracy of the system does allow for some bad ratings here and there, an Edgic chart made by either one person or a group of people at the time of airing holds a lot more weight than something done post-mortem, because it has an actual focus (that being picking a winner) and doesn't get impeded by perceptions resulting from knowing the final result of the season. These are the people that criticize Edgic for being spoiler-ridden, when they redo Edgic charts WHILE KNOWING THE ENTIRE BOOTLIST! This argument is all over the place and has no true salient thesis, but idc. I just think snobs like Dictatorshit really need to get over themselves.

That's why Edgic has epically failed in seasons like Guatemala and Gabon but held up in seasons like Exile Island and HvV. It's basically a perfect correlation. Back to Episode 13 spoilers btw. I'm right now picturing Probst jizzing his pants because Coach/Ozzy are likely both in the final 3.
