The art department would already be planning challenges/twists/logos/etc. But seeing as they just do generic islands all the time now, I suppose they could have 3 or 4 different generic island locations in consideration and still plan the show. Long gone are the days of challenges that reflect the location.

Not sure if there is any legitimacy to this but it would make sense with the timeline of how casting has gone. We know filming for 25 is March/April and 26 is May/June ish. They were taking Apps. in September and October. Then they decide that 25 will be some type of returning players so they re-open casting until the beginning of March with the intent to have newbiews on 26. Just a thought.
