This season is 100% about Benjamin.  It's either 'The Story of How Ben Wins' or 'The Story of How Ben Loses'.  If it's the latter, then Sophie becomes the winner of a 'Why 'X' Lost' season, joining the ranks of Amber and Danni and NatW - screwed in the edit but happy to cash their big cheque.

I think a lot of support on edgic for Sophie is spoiler-related, especially the last few weeks or so.  I see a lot of names in the spoiler section that are repeated advocates for Sophie over in edgic.

At the same time, I personally think her edit is less flawed than some suggest.  She has about two-thirds or so of what would be a strong winner edit.  They really just needed to add a couple confessionals to what they've currently shown -- like, for example, the insider clip from early on where she talked at length about how she was getting to know each of the contestants, both inside and outside her alliance, and building relationships with them.

Even without that, I think we've gotten some insight into Sophie's personality:

1. The way she cheerfully interacted with both Coach and Brandon early on, even as confessionals showed she had both of them pegged.  After Brandon confessed to being a Hantz, there was a scene at the beach where Sophie leaned over to look at Brandon's tattoo and said "I can't believe nobody noticed that!" in a totally cheerful tone, even though we already knew via confessional that she suspected things.  From that, we got that she's capable of being positive with people and not letting on that she knows what she knows ... because, you know, she may need their help some day.

2. The way she came of as being Albert's buddy throughout the middle parts of the game, dealing with him patiently, even though she often thought he was way off base.

3. A long confessional that closed the recap episode, in which she explained her strategy in some detail.  That moment felt like a confirmation of her win, to me ... but I haven't seen anyone else comment on that final recap scene.

4. The way she sauntered in to the pizza party this last episode.  On the one hand, she had a clear purpose in mind.  But on the other, she was pretty smooth in the way she just kind of hung out with the guys she wanted to talk to.

5. Her bringing up (quite confidently) at the most recent tribal counsel that she has good relationships with other folks in the tribe.

There has certainly been a brusque side to Sophie in the edit this season ... but we've seen other stuff that reflects a positive way of interacting with people along the lines of what's in that insider clip.

I've wanted to point out some of this stuff on edgic, but I stopped posting over there around the time of the merge when I decided to come in here and spoil myself.

Nevertheless, there is at least one example -- me -- of someone who picked Sophie for the win after episode one, and stuck with it up through the merge even with her low key (but always present) edit.  This post was clearly not based on spoilers:
