Why would they give Coach all this sympathetic music in his scenes with Edna when he struggles with voting her off? Damn, I dunno about this. I'd say it'll be fun to see edgic explode when this totally poor choice wins the season, but so many people have picked her against every edgic principle there is that I guess nothing will really go down. Shame.

Sportsman wrote:I don't understand Rick voting for Sophie. For all intents and purposes, Coach decided Rick/Sophie over Brandon/Albert at the last Tribal Council. So with Ozzy winning Immunity at 5, Albert would be the logical boot. For whatever reason, Coach and Sophie betray Rick and keep Albert. So even though Rick hates Albert, Sophie and Coach unnecessarily betrayed him, wouldn't his vote by default go to Albert?

Is there anything Ozzy can't do?

I'd say it'll be fun to see edgic explode when this totally poor choice wins the season, but so many people have picked her against every edgic principle there is that I guess nothing will really go down. Shame.I think there's a strong misconception of Coach's edit among a lot of people. Coach has been pretty powerfully negative. But he has also been very complex and nuanced. We get to understand why he's doing what he's doing and get inside his head. Some of that stuff is sympathetic. But he's shown over and over doing "icky" shit, to put it in one contestant's words. The edit is not all about sounds that accompany confessionals ... or looks ... or SPV from others. Sometimes (often) it's about showing us crappy stuff that happens and letting us just see it in a straightforward manner. Some people in edgic don't seem to be able to "count" that stuff, absent funny noises. Some are talking about how his "God talk" to Brandon at FTC wasn't reinforced as being negative. To me, that's a very weird perspective. Coach and Brandon are the only two people living in this fantasy world where God is actively communicating to Survivor South Pacific contestants and steering the game in various directions. That talk may be "neutral" or even positive for Coach and Brandon, but normal human beings on the jury (or at home watching) are likely to find it bizarre ... and quite possibly offensive. Coach has been deeply flawed since well before the merge. It's a season-long edit for him. In the final stages, we're seeing it fall apart for him ... his ability, based on his flawed personality, to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Certainly nothing to laugh at that he made it so close to the end and of which, he would clearly have won. What it entails is how totally fierce and awesome the great and powerful Oz was (again) during S23. Is there anything Ozzy can't do? He catches birds with bare hands, climbs coconut trees, stands on top of trees, swims like Aquaman, dives like a hawk, runs like the wind, catches fish like a sea god, has hair like a rock star, movie star good looks, rainbows form for him and yet he possesses a natural kindness, loyalty, caring and integrity that he has brought to a cut throat game. It is phenomenal that he made it to final 4. The only survivor to have been voted out three times in one game and to win the most challenges in Survivor history. He's played over 100 days in 3 times and made it to the end the first time with a 5-4 vote, made jury the 2nd time and F4 the third time. Thank you Ozzy for making an otherwise predictable show that would have turned out like S22, worst season ever. I hope we see you back for the 4th time on an All Stars. Ozzy is everything Coach wishes he was. Coach does not deserve to win this game and he has no integrity or honor. He is so jealous of Ozzy it must have been hard for him to sleep at night. Mark Burnett should award Ozzy a million dollars for fan fav this year like they did Rupert, who isn't 1/4 as spectacular a player as Ozzy. If they can give Rupert a mil they should be able to give the most sensational player of all time a million. Ozzy's been robbed twice now. Ozzy should be so proud of how he played the game with such decency and team loyalty. Only a rare few survivors can say this. You rock Ozzy! p.s. For all the Ozzy haters that respond to this, please, let me say in advance - Fuck You. I don't give a shit what you think. Merry Xmas everyone!

Oowatanite wrote:Most of the current Edgic support for Sophie is directly a result of the F3 spoiler and a few annoying Sophtards. This season is 100% about Benjamin. It's either 'The Story of How Ben Wins' or 'The Story of How Ben Loses'. If it's the latter, then Sophie becomes the winner of a 'Why 'X' Lost' season, joining the ranks of Amber and Danni and NatW - screwed in the edit but happy to cash their big cheque.

Those two duels don't count at 4 wins simply cause 4 people were beaten. That's like saying you win 11 immunities if you win the F12 immunity challenge.
