From a FF4 perspective, one of Coach's problems is that he refused to act like an F at the Final Tribal Council. Fathers are expected to take responsibility for what they did. F-winners like Tom, Rich, and Brian generally emphasize their leadership and their control of the game at FTC--and make no apologies about it. Coach gravitated E-ward at the FTC, with the whole "I set out to change the game and I'm sorry that I couldn't live up to my own standards". I agree with birdlady that Sophie's breakdown helped reconcile their perceptions of her as a D with her actions. Interestingly, I think Albert was acting more like a D throughout, focusing on building personal relationships, while Sophie was more the traditionally-S gamebot. Her breakdown showed a critical D-skill of being socially perceptive, and it helped. On single parents: it's been true for a while that typically a strong parent of one kind on a tribe generally leads to a weak parent of the other. Casaya had a super-strong M in Cirie and a weak F in Bruce (FF6 F Terry came from the other tribe). Koror had strong-F Tom and weak-M Caryn, Amazon had strong M-Denna and weak F-Butch, Tocacins had strong M-Taj and weak F-JT, and Gabon had strong F-Bob and weak M-Susan. How many tribes have strong Fs and strong Ms?
