The goddamn music during the challenges: it really bothers me how the change of the nature of the music always gives away the fact the something big is about to happen the second before it happens. I really wish the music was more discreet.

(Paraphrased): "Osten was thinking about potentially quitting" "If we don't boil the water, we could potentially get sick" "I let Darrah know that she was potentially on the chopping block tonight" etc. etc. etc. Driving me crazy.

Alicia and Tom both thought they were in with Rob, IIRC. Plus it was Rupert's own personal hierarchy and not necessarily the hierarchy of the tribe.

As for Russell being able to spell Gerri's name from having seen her on the show, well, he hadn't actually watched her seasons before (or for that matter, most seasons, I think he had only watched one season before going on Samoa). That certainly didn't happen in Samoa (Natalie wasn't a villain by any stretch of the definition or imagination, and all the jurors liked her), and that certainly didn't happen in Heroes Vs. Villains either (Parvati was already pretty fucking villainous, I mean for fuck's sake she was on a tribe named Villains). I mean I get that you're trying to make it sound like Russell is dabbling into some black magic, but let's not say that Russell turns people into villains. Russell can't turn people into anything, except turn them off.
