I must have hit a nerve because a stupid comment like that happens when someone can't attack the message. They attack the messenger instead. There's a dfference between speculating when the result is unknown and analysing a known result. That, BTW, is why this whole thread is in the wrong place!!!

Look, you wanted me to read interviews and I read that Sophie even admitted it:

Reality TV World: You got very emotional in front of the jury during the finale's first Tribal Council after Ozzy had expressed how he felt about you. Do you think that played any role in your subsequent victory at the final Tribal Council? Because obviously, one of the criticisms seems to be that you had a hard outer shell during the game.

Sophie Clarke: Yeah, no. It's funny because right after that happened, I came back to the beach and all I could think of was, "I just screwed myself over." If I was in the jury, I wouldn't want to see some girl crying. I wouldn't want to give the million to some cry baby.

But then the more I thought about it, I realized that what they were complaining about and their issue with me was that I was too closed off, I was not an open book, I was not sharing enough, I was too blunt.

And so really by being so vulnerable in that moment, I think they saw it not so much as a weakness, but I think they found it endearing. So, I think it definitely worked to my advantage. I mean, it was obviously genuine, but yeah. I think I am a very closed off person and I'm very grateful that I was -- that the jury was able to see that side of me. I think it swayed votes. 

  
Now, with a 6-3 victory, if that indeed swayed votes then she would have lost 5-4 without it. She couldn't afford to lose more than 1 vote.

Yes, I know Albert could have gotten those two votes but Albert? Really??

I like the "entire million" expression as if Jeff would have said: "You deserve only $400 000"!

But that isn't what I am saying.
- To her credit, she doesn't win if Ozzy wins the final IC.
- On the other hand, she doesn't win if Coach and/or Albert vote against her instead of Rick at the second F5. They probably saw those tears and, with Rick saying he was laying down to Ozzy, they figured she was done. That shows they were bad at understanding psychology. 
- Nor does she win if Coach keeps Brandon at the first F5.

What I am saying is that many members of the jury didn't like her and some would not have voted for her if she hadn't shown that she was human.

I think the editors hid her because they didn't want us to see how poorly she was interacting with the future jurors. Look back at the two scenes when Edna pleads for her life. In the first, Sophie is cleaning her toe nails. In the other, she just lays there, showing absolutely no empathy. Even Albert showed more sympathy. Or the scene when Cochran said he was owed. She didn't even look at him. I can guess she had the same stone face when Dawn and Whitney pleaded their cases. And if she wasn't interested in what Ozzy had to say (OZZY!), she probably didn't talk to Jim and Keith either.

We didn't hear others giving her positive comments (SPV I think Edgic calls it) because there probably wasn't any.
