Remove this ad The Israelis and Indians filmed at Gota Beach, Caramoan Peninsula, Philippines in 2011 Survivor India - 2011 The confusion and mistaken spoil over U.S. filming 23/24 in the Caramoan during the summer of 2011, was due to a misreading of a quote that originated back in early 2010 (which got repeated over and over for a year) by a provincial official, A top executive of the provincial government, who asked not to be named because negotiation was still ongoing, revealed that “Survivor USA” would also be filmed here next year until 2012. Its production crew searched many areas in the Philippines and found Caramoan the most ideal place for filming because of its unique geographical features and available facilities that meet production standards. Also, were the Americans really talking to this official about 2012 way back in early 2010 or even late 2009? Second, the Israelis and Indians were lining up time slots in 2011 to film at Gota. It is unlikely that CBS/SEG back in early 2010 would have thought about filming 25/26 early - as we now believe will be the case. The most likely explanation for this advancement of 25/26 filming is to accommodate Executive Producer and Host Jeff Probst and the launching of his new show in the Fall of 2012. But other explanations are possible. For example, if the Americans were thinking of filming in the Caramoan, they may want to do so prior to the onset of the wet/Typhoon season in the West Pacific. The Gota Beach complex is open to the public currently as has been the case for the last few years (the site is open to the Public Nov-Dec). I think the most likely explanation is that U.S. Survivor has had the Caramoan in its short list for some time and they may have been lining it up for 2012 back in late 2009 / early 2010 due to the place getting booked up by international versions of the show. Its possible that advance logistical / legal personnel are at Gota or in the Caramoan now; but this is flimsy speculation back to the original source. Natalie was playing for 4th place, she was way out of her league with the Black Widows. Horrible player. Agree. And there is an interview out there where she claimed she had not seen Survivor until a few weeks before she went out on the show. While normally that would not be an issue for a recruited player, but when we are talking about a season that was supposed to be with "die hard Survivor fans", you have to wonder how she got cast.
