There's no way to reconcile "hardcore Christian" with "good Survivor player" without coming off as an enormous hypocrite. While I'm not a fan of hypocrisy per se, I can readily accept any lies, deception, and backstabbing in Survivor. Survivor is a game. Once recognized as a game, lies are part of the game, and holding a castaway to their ethics outside of gameplay does not make sense.Perhaps a better way to understand the dichotomy is to imagine a hardcore Christian playing "Liar"; a game dedicated to fabrication in which a lie is "game" and not reality. Playing the game is just "playing the game" and not ever meant as a whole nor accurate representation of the player in real life. The larger issue is not who tells a lie playing Survivor, but the viewer that wants and needs to impart their personal standards of ethics and morality upon the player. Those are the peope that disturb me.

Jeff actually did sit down with Chris after Vanuatu and said he was sorry for being too close to Julie, and for not treating Chris's story like the amazing comeback it really was. Jeff freely admitted that he had been too emotionally involved to really appreciate what Chris had done, and in any other season it would have been different. And since then, Jeff has changed his stance on how he talks about Vanuatu. Nice that Probst apologized at all, but that doesn't make up for everything. It's like saying, "Sorry for tarnishing your reputation in front of a huge public audience and getting a lot of people who can't think critically and respect my opinion a great deal to hate you; hope this private apology that barely anyone will ever know about makes up for all that" Overall, Probst is still an excellent host and a key component of the show. He just crosses the line way too much at times though and is too uppity for my tastes sometimes.

Really? He is a man and he could barely beat Scout, Twila and Eliza for immunity. I mean he is one of the worst athletes that has ever been on the show. The only person who felt bad about voting him out was Julie who helped him stay because of HER connection with the girls not his. Twila was a dumbfuck and was going to tell it like it was no matter if Chris did or not, she could have easily changed her tune when Chris gave a BULLSHIT FTC performance. The jurors didnt vote for him based on his FTC performance they voted against Twatwaffe for being a %!#$ the whole damn time. If it wasnt for the idiot Eliza would made 2 stupid moves and still landed top 4, the show would have been much better. And the "Fat Five" alliance was less than stellar, they were FAT, annoying, bitchy, stupid, ugly and worthless. And that sums up the whole shithole season. The people like JP, John, Brook, Brady, Mia, Dolly and Lisa should have made the merge but instead we got Chris, Twila, Rory, Scout, Leann, Eliza and Sarge. F that noise.
