My current dog is getting up there in years and it will be just as awful when she goes. Anyway, I just wondered if any of you pet lovers have read A Dog's Purpose. At first I thought it was ridiculous, but then I absolutely loved it. Made me cry and smile.

I lost my precious Doof on his 17th birthday two years ago and it still smarts. I waited almost a year to take in another kitty. I ended up with a holy terror, but we love him. Last July, Moose ended up getting away from a bobcat or fisher, we're not sure which, but it also took our Bear and we didn't see him again. Moose came home with a broken jaw. A thousand bucks later, he was all better and had this picture taken. He went in at 9lbs 7oz and probably was close to 12lbs in this picture. He's now right around 15lbs. He's not in a bad mood, that's just his face. He's wicked smart for a cat.

At least she's trying to stay warm during the winter. Sorry about the huge size. They didn't look so before when I uploaded.

She likes to jump up and grab his head, and on the way down, she claws. She mostly scratches on the rug or her tower, but sometimes she'll stretch up against one of the couches and we'll get onto her. There are no claw marks on them, though. I bought her Chia cat grass (which is just wheat grass in a ceramic container with a cat on it) and she LOVES it. Nom nom nom.

She still won't eat, but she is drinking. She began to purr again. I think she had a stroke. I didn't know that the paralysis from a stroke would somewhat go, sort of, away. I still have to take her to and from the water dish. Yesterday, she crawled out of the laundry basket I have her in and fell onto the floor. YIKES. I had it on a table. I had no idea she had that much mobility and the computer was blocking my view to her basket. And she began to pee again, so I am washing the pads and towels I have down a couple of times a day. So now my dilemma is, do I still let nature takes its course or ???

It's a cat's way of self-soothing, so they often purr when they're in distress. She might be looking for a place to go off and...y'know. Something similar happened to my bff's cat. She took him to the vet after similar symptoms and they had to make some tough decisions.
