Twists tend to get into the name only if they're major enough to fit or could be used as a "location" type thing (Exile Island, Redemption Island and One World). Micronesia was even given both the gimmick name and location name.Samoa was used four times not twice, and Panama three, not twice. As for Palau, the two occasions were six seasons apart. Whenever they renamed the location, it was always because they were revisting a location, after a back-to-back shoot was already done in Samoa and Panama. I'm well aware of that, I was talking about how many times they've used location names though, so Heroes vs Villains and One World weren't counted for Samoa, and All-Stars wasn't counted for Panama. It doesn't make it any easier or harder to come up with new name for the location if it's filming a week later or 6 years later. It's not like they had to wait a certain amount of time after doing Pearl Islands before they could call it Panama. As long as we're accusing them of being lazy, it's way easier for them to just have called Redemption Island San Juan del Sur instead of coming up with the gimmick and naming it after that. Anyone who says that's what they're doing has it backwards, they're naming the seasons that because of the twist, not making the twist because it's the same place. That's like saying they did All-Stars because they were filming in Panama again, Exile Island because they were in Panama for a third time, Fans vs Favourites because they were in Palau again, Heroes vs Villains because they were in Samoa again, or Redemption Island because they were in Nicaragua again. It's because they want to play up the twist, not because they're too lazy to look on Wikipedia for other names of the locations. Redemption Island was created because they wanted to keep Rob and Russell in the game as long as possible, not because they had to film in Nicaragua.

If they don't use swimming challenges, then we know that the "choppy water" excuse they used in Samoa was bullshit and they're just being lazy and cheap.

Well, if (and that's a big if) the rumors are true and S25 is Second Chances or whatever, they could actually do it in reverse and call 25 Survivor: Second Chances, then film S26 as Survivor: Philippines.
