Remove this ad No one should watch a show they don't like - but I will say you cannot just jump into Community. If you ever want to actually try to watch the show get the DVDs and start from episode 1. The show builds up.

Parks & Rec is consistently funnier and 30 Rock is probably just as good. It sucks that NBC doesn't give a shit about it, but you can't really expect a show on NBC to last if its not the Biggest Loser or produced by Lorne Michaels.

I wasn't making a generalization about all Community fans. But there are a good amount of them that believe the show can do no wrong, and that it's somehow superior to other good shows, like 30 Rock. From what I've seen, the main response to the 30 Rock episode was "Where's Community?", which is just obnoxious because while it makes sense to target shows like Whitney and that other shit show, 30 Rock doesn't deserve that.

Loved that they addressed the gay issue, and James Marsden... is James Marsden and therefore awesome. And Jack in Liz's head. Just funny. (Liz: Can I pull off this hat? Gay Protesters: NO.)

I agree that too much Kenneth is annoying, and I wish they really went for it with the Tracy thing and actually used what he said in real life and not dumbed it down to something safe.

Even I feel it, and simply put, it's just that the style of comedy that 30 Rock does, is in its sixth season, getting lower returns on its efforts. The rhythm and even the jokes themselves have been well-trodden to the point of predictability at this point. I still like and quite admire the sheer brazen goofiness and cracking pace at which the show goes and they go to weird quirky places that other comedies don't go. If they simply ended with this season, I would be totally fine with it. Just like I would be fine if The Office ended. If they cancelled Community or Parks and Rec, I would have a fit if ridiculous proportions.
