Remove this ad ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: During the teams' entire trip inside the human body, they must keep their oxygen level more than 7 hPa to stay normal, or else they will have a difficulty in breathing (which will slow teams down by 1U for every turn). Once your oxygen level goes below 7 hPa, you have the option to refill your tank at the Alveoli Sacs inside the lungs. "For where your treasure is, your heart follows. Find the heart and search for the Chordae Tendinae for your next clue!" Teams must now make their way to the heart, the life organ that pumps up blood for tens of thousands of miles across the body every second and will be doing so for rest of your lives. It is here that teams will find their next clue. The structure of the heart is very complicated, and it is advised that teams should know what path to take along with the right blood current in order to save up oxygen and get there quicker. Channeling and transporting oxygen, nourishment, hormones, waste, and carbon dioxide through-out the body, without the blood the body won't operate. And not only in delivery system does the blood excel: it is also equipped with disease-fighting substances that keeps the body healthy. The blood is alive. It contains living cells, responsible for nourishing and cleansing the body. In this Detour, teams will be one with the blood as they perform the daily tasks of our body's Blood Cells. The choice: Red Blood Cells or White Blood Cells In Red Blood Cells, teams must be able to deliver freshly oxygenated blood through-out the body. Erythrocytes primarily carry oxygen and some carbon dioxide through the use of hemoglobin by squeezing tightly as it passes thru the capillaries. Teams must be able to pass all 4 designated checkpoints in the body, and collect all toxins and carbon in exchange with oxygen. Once the journey looped back to the heart, teams will receive their next clue. The task is straight-forward, but with the maze-like blood vessel system we have might prove challenging. DETOUR TASK: Journey around the body! You will be visiting different body locations to deliver the oxygen and nutrients you have. In each action below, you will be given a maze that you must complete (for a total of three mazes). One team member must navigate the maze-like neurons of the brain to find where sorting of information takes place. Then, teams must QUICKLY sort out all the given bits of information into its correct chronological position. If teams are successful, teams will receive their next clue. Nerves move fast, and if teams don't act quickly they might get stuck in this brain-numbing challenge for a very very long time. During the entire leg, teams have to maintain oxygen level, or else they need to go to the Lungs and the Alveoli sacs in order replenish their supply. Shrink in size and get swallowed by Charlie Bucket!
