I hate Mia's mom so much. That poor little girl just wanted her mom to tell her that she did a good job. So sad.

That link above with the entry fees was for the state pageant. The National Pageant (10k winner) is more expensive. $595 entry fee + $125 video + all the other shit. It seems to me that if you pull out and win a big title you should at least win enough to cover your entry fees. What a fucking racket. I say we start our own Survivor Sucks Pageant.

My sister's part starts at 5:22!�

I am so proud of her.� :)�

Teffany's Dance Studio has only been opened for three years.� The first year, she had one room and 70 girls.� Now, she is up to 3 studios and 180+ girls and employees and junk.

She woke up the next morning with almost 40 friend requests :)

Jessica, I saw this episode and was astounded that the little girl at your sister's studio was so obviously getting sick and her mother ignored it all. They should have kept her in bed for a few days rather than try to get her to perform up to a winning level. This little girl was obviously just checking out.

Your sister is a sweetheart, so patient.

Yeah, she is obviously getting sick. This whole show is terrible. I will never watch it again.

Teff said they had a two hour session together, and they, of course, chopped together every single time she corrected the girl. That's reality tv for you!

So of course they took the little pieces of her starting to break down and put them together. She did learn a dance and knew it when she left. And IT WAS NOT A JLO DANCE.... "Isys does not wear her glasses when she's on stage @ the pageant. I don't know how she sees, actually." (can we call it child abuse?)

"I put so much work in it; I drive out of town for lessons; I spend thousands of dollars on her wardrobe..." (but I don't bother to figure out a routine until 2 days before)

Good lord, someone needs their visa revoked. How do you drag your teen/preteen sons to this crap? I can barely get my 6yr old to sit through my niece's dance recital 1x/year & he LOVE LOVE LOVES his cousin to death.

Between the poor girl who had to go on stage with a fever and the mother who wouldn't even tell her she did a good job I think this has taken the cake for bad parents.

The Russian mother was all kinds of crazy. I kept thinking mail order bride when I saw the husband. What a bitch. I also felt sorry for the two little sisters competing against each other, and when one of them was screeching and crying cause the mother was giving them a spray tan. Why don't some of these fathers step in and say enough is enough, NO MORE! To me, this show borders on child abuse and the fathers just stand by and watch it happen.

And the two year old being taken to a nail salon kicking and screaming to get fake nails. Another bat shit crazy mother.

Wonder why most of the mothers are fat and frumpy and look over forty. I think half of them have been artificially inseminated. I think it's criminal what they do to these poor children.

-they confiscate the kid's favorite toy & hold it hostage until it suits them? I liked when Mia was putting lipgloss on the bear :-) Love her brother trying to be comfort her while c*ntface was in the lobby..

We know they're all whacked out, but Mia & Isys moms were hot messes today.

65 kids at 1200 each is $78,000. I wonder what the organizer actually clears after prizes, hotel rental, stage set-up, sound equipment, paying judges, staff, etc. I'm sure it's decent, or she wouldn't do it, but I'm not sure she's raking it in. But maybe her costs are lower than I think.

The hotel room rental is free. If you promise a hotel you will book 60 rooms, they will let you use the conference room. The stage set up costs nothing- have you seen the stage? Laugh

I dont think the judges get paid all that much but let say $200 a day each- they worked 8 hours so $20 an hour? We should ask rich what they paid him (he's posting at TWOP) x 8 judges that's $1600. The sound equipment- it's a cd player and some crappy speakers! There is a guy who changes the CDs..... She does probably have some staff that answers the mail and promotes the pageant. It's on par with people who run events like running 5Ks, you have to process the applications. This might be an expense, but not much. I dont think she needs a very big staff- 2 or 3 people tops.. Of course you forgot the prize money and those crowns! I'm sure she pays a mint for those crappy trophies and crowns. Even if her expenses are 30k (which I highly doubt) she is clearing $48K for the pageant...raking it in if you ask me...

I of course had to check to see what crowns go for these days ... I was actually surprised that they aren't all $9.95 so there is a (small) value to what these girls get back. I clicked on the 13" Starburst which is on sale for $114.71.. I read this in the comment section & almost peed my pants:

I awarded this crown to my Super Starlet Award Winner at my Crystal Palace Online Pageant and the winner loved it. She said this crown was like no other crown. Thank-you, for all your beautiful crowns, Rhinestone Jewelry will get all my business for my online pageant.

God! I watched this show and couldn't get over the nervous ticks in the Russian moms face! The husband should've jiust pulled her out in the parking lot and then collected the poor kid. the kids aren't sore losers. The parents are! Abby Lee needs to go on a diet and Toddlers and Tiara needs to undergo a mental review.

And EMT, if your calculations are correct and the organizer is pulling in close to 50G for that crapfest, then she IS raking it in!

(Although she should probably put a bit of that money towards security, as a few of the crazy moms whose daughters didn't get good enough prizes looked like they might just kill her)

According to Annette's website, TLC will be filming @ the March 31 pageant in Plano TX - Motown Celebration... I would be willing to donate towards the $20 ballroom fee if we have any sucksters near there who would be willing to go . ....

while watching the football game I was browsing and found a local pageant in Tampa bay area. The Gasparilla Pageant. Gasparilla is a yearly event held in Tampa where pirates seize the city! there is a huge parade, lots of beads, booze, urnation on rich people's lawns, screaming, arrests - like 200,00 people you will never want to meet again invading a relatively small area in downtown Tampa. Tampa claims it as it's own mardi Gras - whatever - it sucks and now I find this. Wish I could go to the pageant to see if the craies really exist but my new knee is not ready for travel yet - anyway here are some pics for your laughter, or whatever.

I (and/or my parent/guardian) am of good health and moral character and I voluntarily disclose that prior to the date of this Pageant, I have not engaged in any activities which would bring or tend to bring, myself into disrepute, ridicule, or contempt. Speaking ill of the Pageant, Director, judging, etc. shall result in loss of Title and possible legal action.

It never looks like there are randoms at the pageant. You probably can't get in unless you're with a child competing or working at the pageant in some capacity.

Surely someone here is skilled enough to create some random news outlet ID card ...

...or maybe take their kid & fake interest in getting their kid into the sport ~ I'm sure they charge the $20 for infants in strollers as well, but we could scrape up $40, right??
