If I had been in charge, I don't know if she makes it to S8, but she certainly would have been on S16, along with Christa from S7....and probably cast instead of Ami or Parvati.

Yea, I agree that Brandon voting Kelly wasn't the best move, but it took out an original Boran (and may have won him a FTC vote). I think Kim's butthurtedness and refusal to realign with Brandon was even stupider.

Tom was actually the one that played the game there: by putting Brandon out, he endeared himself to the Boran's, and would have gotten their votes if he made the F2. He was the only one that really gave Kelly a chance to discuss her 'alleged' vote against Lex. According to Brandon, he and Frank talked nothing but strategy during the movie date during that episode. But when you look at the votes, and how shocked Lex was when Brandon went that episode, it was clear: Brandon doomed himself with that move. Also in that episode, there was a point where Brandon and Kim were walking to get the treemail and Kim P was in tears because Brandon was not going to vote with them. What Brandon failed to realize is he was taking away her only shot at winning the game because he did not like Frank personally. Now, if Brandon had voted for Tom in this episode, then yes, the suckers would have been Kim P/Frank/T-Bird for not taking out Tom this vote.

Maybe if Kim and Brandon made up to see how the move was good for both of them, then the vote would be different. The actual vote that night doesn't have anything to do with what I'm saying (for example, everyone voted Frank the next episode even though it didn't matter). Technically, the old Samburus still could have voted Tom and had a tie.

I think at that point, they probably didn't see it. It could have still made their efforts. But it may not have changed anything. Brandon could still stay with Lex/EZ/KJ and the end result would now be Brandon in the final 4 and the Boran's all going next.

I did too but rewatching it, Kim P. is a sweetheart, Lindsey's entertaining, Silas is hot, and Brandon is Brandon. I didn't like their decisions all of the time but they were pretty fun to watch.

Which is why there should have been a tribe of people that did not make the merge in ALL STARS. Then, Rob Mariano and the Shii-Idiot would have been more appropriately cast for ALL STARS. Jeff Varner probably would have been cast as well. And thus, all the leaks that took place about ALL STARS would not have happened (or been severely reduced unless Varner got eliminated early, which he probably would). Probably add Gretchen from S1, Silas from S3. And thus, your Tribe of People voted out Pre-Merge would be : Mariano/Silas/Varner/Lindsey/Gretchen/Shii Idiot.

In the first couple episodes, I felt bad for them in that the grownups made the foursome and left them out. By then, I was shouting for them to do something and stop letting others Pagong you. I always wanted Silas to fall on his face, but I was pulling for Brandon and lil Kim all the way. *actually, in the premerge, I thought Kim P was probably going to be the smartest player ever. She'd have all these quiet scenes where it looked like she was just observing. She looked like the Colleen/Elisabeth player but was much older -thought she's be a wolf in sheep's clothing. And the Kelly boot episode I was pretty sure I was right, and then the next episode she turned out to be one of the poorest players ever. And Lindsey was just a wonderful train wreck. "Oh, Frank. Drop dead!" Brandon, Kim, Frank and T-Bird as the final four would have been poetry.

Posts: 1162 (01/25/12 10:47 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Africa gets a bad rap because of the string of episodes where Brandon/Frank/KimP/Teresa are voted off. But episodes 1-8 are very good, and the finale is as well. Its not an amazing F2 by any means, but it wasnt predictable either.
