Example: Many dumb posters are saying that Survivor All-Stars was rigged for Rob and Amber, that they dated before the show, that Rob enforced Mark Burnett to cast\put Amber in his tribe (promising a showmance) bla bla bla. So let me understand : 1. Rob and Amber were such huge Survivor stars before ASS that production rigged the season for them on the expense of nobodies like Hatch, Cesternino, Colby, Jerri etc. 2. Jerri herself said that Amber hated Rob before ASS (she has evidence, mind you) and Lex (not Rob's greatest supporter) said, specifically, that they never dated before. 3. If the goal was to create a great showmance why the horrible F-10 tribal shuffle happened ? The twist HURT Rob's game and put Amber in danger. Cyberball in response : "I bet the production payed Lex to keep Amber" bla bla bla..... People complain that R.I was "rigged" for Rob but forget to mention that in his 3 previous seasons there were twists\"incidents" that hurt his game (1000X more suspicious). Do you hear me starting threads or repeating bullshit ? As for the buffoon tribe: 1. There is a thing called EDITING. If the editing team wanted they could've made Rob's victory one of the toughest ever. Instead, they made him a survivor God and the other players a bunch of zombies. 2. I can give you 10 tribes that are stupid than Ometepe. 3. Why make the other tribe (Zapatera) stronger physically ? 4. The Redemption Island twist (which is stupid BTW) was there to guarantee more time\episodes\chance for the returning players BUT it was fair for everybody and hurt Rob's game more than it helped him. How did it feel when you won All-Stars?

The season was set up by production so that Amazon intermingling in what was supposed to be a battle of the sexes would not happen again: Old, fat males and older women/lesbians were set up to dominate so that they'd be less likely to flirt and more likely to be adversaries. You can a big contrast in things like the overnight mixer with Dave + Jenna and the beginning of Vanuatu when the women were ignored - Vanuatu was decidedly supposed to be a season where the women had a chip on their shoulder and, with balance-baced challenges, pagonged the men. The big, obvious mistake that Chris/Sarge/Chad made post swap is not throwing the challenge and voting off one of Twila/Julie to protect Bubba/Rory. Regardless of however he felt about the fat five/how much he could be trusted, John K absolutely had no incentive to flip at any time in the game, and doing so pre- or post-merge would have been a move of Brandon-level stupidity.

I am not saying all of them were puzzles but there were more puzzles than usual - F11, F9, and F4. I would also classify the two challenges won by Ashley as simple puzzles - a 12 year old could have done it but not Natalie or Phillip. Most importantly, I do not recall ever the FINAL challenge having a puzzle untill RI. Phillip was in there doing it. It was probably the only challenges that Phillip can actually compete in. Again , 3 challenges that were all 2 tier challenges with puzzles are considered more than usual ?! Really ? Again i asked , have you watched survivor ? They always have 2 tier challenges with the 2nd being puzzles , it's a survivor norm. As someone above mentioned , they only did the last challenge a 2 tier challenge because of RI as the last RI challenge is usually endurance , they mix it up for F4 - they did the same for SP , as mentioned , the challenges they did for F4 were usually similiar to the ones that they used for F5 in other seasons - see Tocantins , Cook Islands , Gabon etc. Last Edited By: marshal99 01/26/12 08:05 PM. Granted, 85%+ of the people who play Survivor are way, way too stupid to throw challenges after a swap, so it usually doesn't matter...

Going into the merge with six strong (Zap minus the three) is better than having nine when three are definitely going to flip. At least with Russell out, they got to browbeat that one chick into playing their game. I suppose they could have waited another challenge to throw it (to make sure they had six) but I don't think that losing on purpose was so terrible.

Well, if they had just chilled the fuck out and won that one, they lost 3 challenges anyway, and would have merged with their tight 6 against 5 tight Ometepes and whoever wins a duel between Matt and AndreaG.oddess.

If Rob only has Alicia/Rupert/Jenna, Tom immediately flips to Lex. Lex is now immediately the #1 ally of three people (Kathy, Jerri, and Tom) and has Shii Ann under his control via Kathy. The Robfather is at Lex's mercy. Rupert probably goes out in 9th place, then Lex can pick an order that best farms the jury. He then goes into the F2 with whomever he wants, has a reputation for being strategic, very strong in individual challenges, and generally has a was quite popular among the alums. That said, the criticisms of Lex voting out all of his challenge horses are valid, and if the whole Amber swap doesn't even happen Rob probably wins the game.

Let's see.... The biggest reason to say that ALL STARS was NOT rigged was the way the swap was done in Ep 10. If Production absolutely wanted Romber together, they would have never done that swap on a random level LIKE THAT. But that said, I do believe that Boston Rob was able to leverage his relationship with Amber to get her on the show- I mean.....what on earth did Amber do in S2 that was ALL STAR worthy? Nothing! Unless it is proven that Gretchen (S1), Colleen, Elizabeth, Kim Powers, Theresa, Kim Johnson, Kelly Goldsmith, Neleh, Vee, Tammy, Zoe, Jan, Helen, Erin, Penny, Heidi, Deena, Christy, Darrah, Tijuana, Sandra, Christa, and Lill....if it can be proven that ALL THESE WOMEN were offered ALL STARS and ALL OF THEM passed, then I think Amber was worthy choice. Although if you are that point, you are better off going with 16 people and probably drop Boston Rob from the show. Now, onto the other issue: Jeff Varner, in his position as Survivor Correspondent with TV GUIDE MAGAZINE, made the release of a photo of Amber and Boston Rob that was taken in some resort of some kind in February or March of 2003 (forget which), a good 7 months before ALL STARS would tape. He has never shied away from that, and that was the point where Varner was barred from the S8 Reunion. I have never seen Boston Rob or Amber asked or taken to task about that photo. If they came out and said "Oh, we were both at a Survivor event and we stopped for a photo together" then the mystery is solved. But that has not happened. Lex and Jerri, while I am not calling them liars, neither of them are Boston Rob or Amber. If Lex or Jerri were to say "I asked Rob about that and he said no", then that is something. But when they deny it the way they do, it comes off where they are carrying productions water, and Production wants it out that Romber came together on S8 during filming. As to Boston Rob's previous games, well let's see: in S4 there was a twist that switched it up after EP 3, which was a God send for Boston Rob. If there had been no switch in S4, Boston Rob probably is out by day 15, at the latest. The switch in S4, IMHO was done randomly because there were many critics of the S3 switch whom believed the switch was done in THAT MANNER to specifically break up the Young Samburu Alliance from S3. So they did the random format in S4. Without it, Robs game is done. Rob has said in interviews after S20 that he did not watch the show since S8 and did not know what HII was REALLY capable of. That is his failure as a player. And thus, when Russell PWND him out of S20, that was more genuine Boston Rob. I think I have said all that can be said about S22 and Redemption Island. Worst. Season. Ever. Period. And yes, I think S22 was fixed for Boston Rob to win, that they cast the biggest pack of retards ever for that season, that Rob was probably in on it and knew it.

Yeah, he went further in Africa but that's because he lucked out, he worked against himself in strategy constantly. All stars the relationships outside the game is something he knows better and can semi-trust. He was really good friends with Rob, and you can bet they talked about the game over the phone. He's got Rob, Kathy, Tom with Shii-Ann and Amber. Who knows what Jerri is telling him to stay alive. And she's friends with Alicia and was on a tribe with Rupert and Jenna. Rupert, Jenna and Jerri survived two votes. And you know Ethan is telling Lex the three were united. This is all from Lex's point of view. He might think he votes out Amber, then Rob doesn't trust him. Chapera had only voted out no-brainer Rob C, and Susan quit. Lex had no idea how the dynamics were working. He and Kathy had to take a risk. They went with leaning towards the person they had hung out with a lot in real life.

They needed a "good" hot young white girl because Colleen and Elizabeth, the two obvious first choices, both turned Burnett down. Hence JLew's wtf inclusion. I think the only person that was more famous in that demographic (remember, Australia was arguably the most watched season and Amber had done modeling and advertising post-AO) was Heidi, though she was arguably not "nice." Survivor ASS seasons are always thinnest in the young white girl slot, partially because of the way the show is cast, partially because of the way it is edited.
