...Yeah, I'm not going to bother with BB for this first version. I may replace it with Apprentice or Project Runway or something just as well known yet less boring, but it's just too exhausting and boring to delay the rest of the guide while I download thirteen full seasons.

Got pretty much from Vanuatu to South Pacific all updated - barring Nicaragua and the Redemption Island finale, which don't seem to be on Youtube - and am only missing the Dutch seasons for the Mole. :)

Because I'm doing multiple shows, I'm going to be getting rid of the bits where I list the winners, to protect non-viewers from spoilers. I may do a second version with them all added, but for now... no.

I searched for Nicaragua a little earlier this afternoon, and found all of the challenges except for the "remember the symbols Probst show you" one and the Sears product placement.

Episode 9 - FLASHBACK - can't find it but it was exactly the same as the "mystery package" twist from redemption island only with cubes insted of cards to show their answers. Brenda won.

The good news is I'm making decent progress - the last three seasons of Survivor are done, Gabon's nearly finished, and I can pretty much copy over stuff from old versions for Palau onwards and most Mole seasons. The bad news is I'm without a computer for the next week. Stupid charger cables.

And we now know why the tribes were forced to return to Savaii at the merge (see above) - Upolu's beach is the one they're using this season.

As for the guide itself, I'm kind of leaning towards a compromise between the original version and that above - the quick, shorthand descriptions from the first guide, with the "Rehash of ___" bits replaced by copy-pasted basic descriptions. Would make it a lot clearer in instances like the "three strikes" challenges where the rules are generally the same (aside from Pearl Islands's two variations, "five strikes" and "Family Fraud") but I still have to explain the different variations.

It's coming along pretty good, although every time I get a decent amount of work done I decide I'm not happy with the format and start again. Now that I've finally got a format I'm happy with, I'm going to upload the seasons to my blog gradually as I finish them. This allows me to share my work and to find out exactly what works and doesn't from someone else's perspective, but not have to wait... what are we up to now, three years since the last update?

The first update - Nicaragua, Redemption Island, South Pacific, and One World - is now online.

In reference to One World's first Immunity challenge, you said this: "Despite this being only one of three known challenges to be abandoned in Survivor history, it is the second in a season premiere."

I know the challenge in Samoa where Russell collapsed wasn't completed, but what's the other one?

Thanks, raceguy! I really like the new format, but it's missing the challenge winners and the actual reward/immunity is bogged down amongst the rest of the description. Just as an idea, it might be interesting to include [Challenge Title][Reward][Winner] in a sort of heading bar in the block font for each challenge, or including the winner and reward as separate paragraphs following the game's description to make them more findable for someone skimming through the entire document.

Awesome. I've definitely got some things I want to improve for the next update (among them I want to add things like when a challenge has been used in the past), and I'll add those to the list. I might mock up a revamped version with the first few Philippines episodes and upload it later today?

And yes, the third challenge I was referring to was the opening Immunity Challenge in Australian Survivor.

Does this seem better? Fiddled around with a few different ways of presenting the same information, although it's basically the same stuff with the results/sitouts added. Prizes are now bolded, but I haven't separated them from the text as I also want to use the format for a bunch of other shows which feature prize-free challenges. I've also added hashtags to identify individual challenges easier when tracking a challenge's history (which is now present too, although I've only listed the seasons instead of hashtags for the older versions as I'm too lazy to check), and challenge 'categories' (for example, 'eating' or 'giant board game').

I'm still not entirely convinced the rewards actually need to be bolded, though - the way the descriptions have been worded, pretty much the only times they aren't the very last thing in the paragraph is during the Auction.
