The challenge wasn't poorly designed. I don't know what you are talking about. Jonathan just didn't communicate with his partner, and he banged up his leg. That could happen at any challenge. You can't make Jonathan out to be some kind of hero when he really just accidentally got hurt, just like Skupin or anyone else who was evacuated. You could make the same case for Jeff Wilson as you are making for Jonathan. How DARE CBS let Jeff walk around in the dark. That right there was poor and dangerous planning!
I don't think anyone is trying to make him out to be a hero in this situation, but the challenge was poorly designed and sloppy. They waited an hour to even hit the course because there was a downpour.
Several folks have mentioned that course was shoddy.
