I've always had the feeling that Blake had a bad side way above and beyond some vaguely creepy feelings I got about him on the show (that he thought the whole thing was a joke, had contempt for most of his fellow contestants, hated most of the music, etc.). I'm sorry to be right about him. I also think that Blake could have made the finale ONLY in the 6th season, even though some other years (season 1 and 3) also had a serious lack of male talent. The reason is that we got to know so little about the contestants last year, so Blake was able to keep his nasty side mostly hidden. Usually the contestants who are real assholes don't get too far.
