I wouldn't say that LaToya was arrogant as much as she was a 25 year old married stepmother with 7-8 years of nightly live band performance experience competing against a bunch of teenage girls: Fantasia - 19, Jasmine - 17, Diana (& John) - 16. She was older and more "professional", and that unfortunately could sometimes come across as standoffish to a majority of tween voters.

Similarly, 29 year old Michael Johns is years older than every other finalist - next oldest is 25 year old David Cook. You shouldn't have expected him to become BFF with teens Archuleta or Noriega.
