I agree, it would be a hard sell. The best way to make people care would be by calling them the outcasts. Betrayed by their tribe, and so on.

But as much as I would absolutely love to see a second chance Survivor, it probably makes more sense for them to focus on cool, unique, cultural locations, based on Survivor China's comparatively decent ratings.
I agree about emphasizing the location and "local culture", but I don't see why a second chance wouldn't work. It doesn't matter if the general audience doesn't remember them, it would still be refreshing to many people to see folks like Bob DAwg and Dave Cruser back, and I think with the right cast, it would be a great season
Just put all the crazy premerge people at one tribe and we will have an awesome season.
