Wait, where are you guys getting this "the people with the votes against them are immune from drawing rocks" bit from? I mean, that doesn't make any sense at all. Why on earth would they even think of rewarding people for having votes against them? Doing it the way they did in Marquesas makes the most sense where everybody who doesn't have the immunity necklace is immune makes the most sense by far. And I actually enjoy seeing ties, but I can only speak for myself. People should have the balls to force ties more often, especially when it's beneficial to do so. I know I would...
For whatever reason, the producers of the show apparently hate tie votes. They came up with this particular system because it forces players to do whatever they possibly can to avoid tie votes, because anyone who forces a tie vote would be putting themselves at risk. The system works in the sense that it definitely dissuades players from having tie votes, but the reason why the show is so against tie votes in the first place is somewhat of a mystery to me. As a viewer, I think tie votes are great. They tend to give the people in the minority a better chance of overthrowing the majority, and that's exactly the sort of thing the viewers like to see.
