I think you answered your own question: "old" people don't win becuase "old" people aren't casts as much. I'm sure if someone
did a statistical analysis of the amount of 20 year-ols, 30 year-olds and 40+ year-olds, they would find that 2 "old" winners correlates to the
amount of "old people that have ever been on the show.
On a more theoretical note: They are physical liabilities, and in the beginning of the game, physical strength is needed. Also, older women are usually seen as bitches or coat-tail riders, so they would have a hard time convincing a jury of why they should win.
