The conclusion from this data is clear: A few early boots aside, the older you are, the more likely you are to do well on Survivor. If you are over age 40 and survive the first four Tribal Councils, you have a much better shot of reaching the final four than your younger competitors, and to a statistically significant degree.
Dayum, jamesriver, I'm impressed by the research! I'd suggest, though, that you also factor in gender in your calculations. I don't need statistics to know that older women are absolutely the first to be targeted on any tribe. Conversely, I'd also say that any older woman who survives the first two or three tribal councils is more likely to get to the end because her strategy has to be better just to have stayed in the game early on.
