I just watched The Mole Season 2, the first three episodes for a second time (actually this would be the third time because of the mid-season cancellation way back.. but anyway) Anderson pretty much exemplifies the perfect Mole host. He's witty, charismatic, and is able to joke around with the contestants in a comedic yet almost serious manner at the same time. He also has a great sense of humour and isn't afraid to laugh at himself. For instance, in the third episode after the Little John & Little Jane task the players told Anderson that he was too dry and then proceeded to throw him into the lake. He came out totally drenched yet he was laughing and smiling. I can't imagine other reality show hosts doing the same. Anderson thoroughly enjoyed hosting the game and playing a huge part with his social interactions with the players. Instead of being some distant host who gives directions on challenges he was so much more.

*Sigh* We'll never get as perfect of a host again.
