Maybe, I was under the mistaken idea that the pure aluminum tabs were easier to recycle and when donated to one of the Thai royal family charities would be 100% used for aluminum crutches for crippled children. There are a lot of people in Thailand that believe this.
But, frankly speaking I just love collecting them.
I'm so fanantical about it that I flying back to the US and made the stewardess wait when I got my tab and she then told everyone else on board that they'd have to do the same and give me their tabs. That was pretty cool even if it was misguided.
