My guess is that he still held a grudge over the fact that a fellow alpha male beat him in Africa. I think it bugged the shit out of him that he lost to a player who was so less dominant than he was. And I think he vowed that in All-Stars, it wasn't going to happen again. That has always been my take on it. I think he just overcompensated.
