Oh, and I don't know how unpopular of an opinion this is, but...
You don't "get" Pink Floyd unless you have listened to them while under the influence of drugs.
I had this friend in high school who claimed that Pink Floyd was one of his favorite bands, but he had never once even done drugs. (Still hasn't to this day, I believe.) I was always like, "Um, you don't even know!" I'll never forget my experience with DSOTM. At the time when I got it, I was in a clean phase. I thought it was a really, really good album. Later, when I started getting high again, I listened to it after having smoked a joint and was like, "...whoa..."
