Lots of dogs & cats are diabetic. Especially older fat ones. Just like in humans. I give Kiki 2 injections of insulin a day in his neck. He doesn't feel a thing. I also have to take him to the vet for blood tests about every 2-3 months so we can adjust his insulin dosage. It's expensive as hell but I'd pay anything to keep my little guy happy & comfy.
