I guess, based on his box office numbers, that large numbers of people like Michael Bay's movies. I think he's the worst director in Hollywood who still gets big budgets and an audience. His movies are so wretched that I have lost all respect I used to have for Steven Spielberg simply because he's worked with Michael Bay. I have stated before that I don't like Shawshank Redemption or Star Wars, but I can at least understand why some people would like them. But I cannot put into words without sounding like I'm trying to be funny just how bad I think Armageddon, Pearl Harbor and Transformers are.

Jonah Hill Proves He Can Read A Script

Jonah Hill decided not to star in Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen because he did not like the script.

According to IESB, Hill was offered the role of Sam Witwicky's (Shia LaBeouf) college roommate but declined after taking a look at the script in director Michael Bay's office.

An insider said: "Jonah sits down, opens the script. The character of the chubby sidekick is named 'Jonah'. How perfect. Jonah reads 20 pages of the script, puts it down, and silently walks out of the room. Next thing you know, his agents call Bay, he's off the project."

After snubbing the Transformers role, Hill signed up to write and executive produce a film version of '80s TV show 21 Jump Street.
