He has been one of the bigger money-getters (witness the pig challenge). I'm just not seeing it from him. Alex is not the Mole. Mole probability 2.0%
Episode 1: Alex lost $10,000 in the Falls jump challenge
Episode 1: Alex lost $10,000 in the scavenger hunt challege by hiding the tobacco and tea kettle (assumption) -- what did he find other than the message from the mole?
Episode 2: Alex helped the team lose $35,000 in the soccer challenge by not scoring and taking a longer route to the gondola, so that bike riders could get there before them. His penalty kick was weak.
Episode 2: Alex found a lot of pigs but then cost the team about $8,000 by breaking them in the slingshot
Episode 3: Alex puts two apples in a row on the luge challenge, causing everything else to be wrong, losing $8,000 for the team.
Episode 3: Alex found clothes on the street with Paul. The mole can't sabotage everything, especially with a partner
Episode 4: Alex carries up some bricks with the slow team. Again, can't sabotage everything. He probably thought Craig wouldn't make it to the top in time.
Episode 4: Alex doesn't get his journal question correct, picking someone who's journal was already quoted losing $2,000.
In total he's helped lose $73,000 or more if he broke more pigs.
It's amazing that more people won't see him as the mole just because he found some pigs, which he then tried to break.
The luge challenge should be the biggest clue that he's the mole since Nicole had to have told him the last sign was of an avacado -- unless you think she's the mole which is a slight possibility. His asking her to repeat the first sign was a perfect way to sabotage that game and give him an excuse for shifting the blane. How could he not have put an avacado on the table in the last position?
The only good Alex has done is to find some pigs in Episode 2 (many of which he broke), find clothes with Paul in episode 3 (mostly thanks to Paul) and carry up some bricks. He's probably lost the team more money than he's helped earn.
His likelihood for being the mole should be 33% at a minimum not 2%.
