I have a neighbor across the street who will be 92 in Sept. She recently signed up for a Senior Service deal. Every day she is supposed to call them before noon to check in. If she hasn't called by noon, they call her. If she doesn't answer, they start calling people on her list till they find someone home. I'm the second name on her list. I have keys to her house.

If I get the call, I'm supposed to go over there and find out what's going on... or not going on.

She's working on a contact list for me and the other folks who have keys. I had to point out to her that I don't know who to call AFTER I call 911. Or who to call if there is no point in calling 911.

We've been good neighbors/friends for many years. I owe her this favor. But I dread that phone call.
