My dad passed away 8 months after my mother died. He had just been given a stress test a month prior, and told he had the heart of a 50 yr old, and yeah...he died of a heart attack. They had been married fifty-one years.
Thankfully I come from a long line of eye-talians, so there was no usual midwest cuisine brought over by relatives. No jello, no ham buns or macaroni salads.....but pasta and booze...lots and lots of booze.
