Not sure why she gets the 'hanger-on' label since she was the one with a steady job (I believe this is her 4-5th year with Reality Chat), a minor career in showbiz and a house in the Hollywood Hills while DC was still bartending. HE was the one to ask her out on national television. Even if they have supposedly been hooking up since the Top24 party, he wasn't even on the radar yet, everyone was yapping about Archie, Carly and MJ. Is she a media whore? Yeah and so is pretty much everyone who goes out for Idol now. As for being skanky, I doubt DC was a virgin when he met her and they probably aren't keeping score. If you don't like the girl, fine, but she's not any different than anyone else trying to make it in a brutal business.
