Last night's show was actually an embarassment. It should have been an episode of My Name Is Earl where the clan somehow gets on the show, not an episode of Family Feud with a bunch of bored actors walking through their roles in the name of a few bucks for charity.
Exactly. And shockingly, it was even less funny than your average current Earl episode. What makes a lot of noise? "My mustache." In what alternate universe does that even make sense, let alone be even remotely amusing? It's cool to stay in character for the conversation or when you think up an answer (Tim's upside-down name tag was a nice touch) but holy crap, the whole thing just screamed "we don't want to be here but are contractually obligated." And then the Jessica Tandy thing. Not only did he repeat his "You should've seen her in 1929" joke about four times too many but he completely ignored his teammates' legitimate answer.
Oh, and is it just me or is Al Roker possibly the worst game show host ever? His 'jokes' weren't funny ("Oh my, you American Gladiators are so big and strong and intimidating, don't hurt me!"), he was completely awkward, and just irritating. He substituted for Meredith Viera on Millionaire a while back and was awful there too.
