this has to be the most unsettling series I have ever seen... I know few watched the Bocchco series on F/X but that was a walk in the park compared to this..
the constant state of anxiety I feel watching has to parallel the actual state these men suffer from on a daily basis.
I look to see the clear youth leading youth and keep thinking of the "blind leading the blind" and wonder how BOYS can be men in a situation where there are no men to model.
The average age of a soldier in WWII was I believe 24, in Vietnam it was 19, what is the average age here 17? They seem to have the mentality and maturity of teen agers with no adults and guns.. great!! It explains well a lot.. Abu Ghirab anyone... you are only as good as those who lead you and well given our leaders here and there its a doomed proposition from the get go.
