From the Wiki article, they're folding parts of the first 3 films into this remake reboot. Oh, and Jason's victim side is played up so we're sure to root for him. He's also smart, like Rambo ().

I don't mind the reboot idea, except I'd have waited until the 13th film of the series to do it.
