Were you not paying attention to CBR? There are dry counties in Texas - most of them are out west, but there are some in the Dallas area. Granted, you can just drive to the next county or go to a "private" club to drink, but they exist. We actually ate at an Outback in a dry county by Lufkin (shut up - it was by far the best place to eat in the area) and we had to buy a $1 membership to their "club" in order to buy a drink.
