I thought the finale started out very powerfully but degenerated into the cutesy-funny BS they've been jamming down our throats all season long with Mary's dysfunctional family. The letters thing was okay, but when they veered away from the tensions between them into the "Well, he liked ME better than YOU!" thing, I thought it missed an opportunity to bring the show to a new level. (A better level.)

I'll tune in next season, but only because it's a summer replacement series and there's nothing else to watch on TV during the summer. I give it a sold "meh."
