Well thus ends one of the most disturbing series I think I have ever seen. Again my face is burning hot and I can't distinguish if its from shame, anger or both

I frequently find myself at odds with how I feel about this "volunteer" army... I understand their need to join but I am never quite sure why they feel that this is their only option. Is this military modern? I think its clear its not.. from its technology to its strategy I see nothing modern about our warriors except their disconnect from emotions... that is clearly modern. We can thank the repression of WWII and the great heroes who returned home to repress all their anger and frustration and fears to begat a generation of repression, which in turn begat a generation of excessive emotion.. in all good circles we pay the price and return to the circle. We have young people unable or at least unwilling to express that emotion as its perceived as intense, intimidating or simply wrong....

Ironic that 60 Minutes is the Battle of Haditha.. a massacre of Mei Lei proportions.. yes here we go history repeating itself..... war brings nothing to the culture, to the world to the people involved.. I am not sure I want anyone ever associated with a military history as part of our leadership ever again... I have no respect for them any longer. I understand but not this time I cannot in good conscious understand why anyone would elect voluntarily to serve is something as repressive and hostile a culture....
