No. I liked seeing where the writers were stealing all the ideas on the show from. There were aspects of Team Knight Rider from the 1990's. Star Trek Enterprise, Gossip Girl, Ford commercials etc..
If they do it right it could be a real guilty pleasure, like gossip girl.
