I've had sinus headaches for years, sometimes they're brought on by changes in the weather, like when the barometer rises or falls sharply, but not every time. I take Advil Cold and Sinus, it's the only one that works fastest. But I swear by hot wet compresses, hold it over where the pain is. You sound like you get the same ones I do, so hold the compress over your cheek, beside your nose. Really, you'll know instinctively where to put it. When the compress starts to cool, heat it up again. Keep it hot as you can stand for about 5 minutes. It will make your nose run, but THAT'S GOOD, it's relieving the pressure in the sinus. It's mercifully FAST, but it doesnt' last long, but it should last until the drugs get a chance to kick in.
