The sites were cool if you like to keep track of info like voting and challenge records, but Wikipedia has all of that information now. You can find the press-release pictures on sites like Survivor Phoenix and Immunity Idol, and you can pretty much torrent every season. Web 2.0 has killed the traditional type of website, but I don't think that really has anything to do with the quality of the show.
