3. May - Hoenn/Kanto - Ash's travelling floozey

Unlike Dawn, May rocks. She started off a little unsure of what she was going to do, but did a bit of soul-searching and decided she wanted to be a Coordinator. Now that's cool, considering that no-one wanted to watch Ash do a gym battle then May do one straight afterwards. What was good about May is that she got into her stride, and except for a slip-up with her Bulbasaur in one contest, she was hardly ever overconfident. And her showmance with Drew was always hilarious as May seemed completely oblivious to it
