... JESSIE - Hoenn/Kanto/Sinnoh, Rival of Everybody
Jessie's journey as a Pokemon coordinator has been a long and (until recently) fruitless campaign. From trying to get Seviper to perform Sacred Fire (Ho-oh's signature move) to her overconfidence from winning one ribbon, Jessie has easily become the most complex coordinator in the series. Originally, she would dress in all manner of strange outfits and use some poorly disguised variant of her name - somehow managing to fool Ash/Brock/May/Whoever every time. During Battle Frontier she started sticking to one character, and sticking to the sidelines as the fabulous reporter Jessiebella. In Sinnoh is where Jessie began to shine. Despite some setbacks (such as the Wallace cup) Jessie has won two ribbons! While I originally thought 2nd would be too high, her most recent win in this week's Japanese episode has sealed her second-to-top spot. Plus the visual of Yanmega coming out of its Pokeball with a Heart Seal is just hilarious
Which means the winner is....
1. HARLEY - Hoenn/Kanto, Rival of May
Harley, simply put, is the Christian Siriano of the Pokemon world. He designs fancy costumes and is FIERCE~! when it comes to competition. Unfortunately this is Pokemon so the bad guy... only succeeds on rare occasions. Who cares though, as you can't not love Harley's constant scheming. Like the time he recorded Max telling a story about May's fear of Tentacool, and then playing it over the PA system while they were battling... or the psycho cosplaying in an attempt to get into May's head. In no way can Harley be beaten for style, evilness and flair when it comes to the Pokemon Coordinator circuit
