Peeps, how many times during this episode did we see Matty try to get Randy to tone down his operation "strong arm?' And what was Mattys reward?
Randy told Matty that he [Matty] had "whored" himself in the game totally turning Matty against him.
Then - look at Randy's final comments. Everyone left were losers and Bozos. He [Randy] couldn't stand any of them, he was so glad to be away from all those losers. Well, Randy created his own reality. He had the chance of a life time to experience Africa, was given a chance to get to know a diverse group of people and he threw it all away to be mean, miserable and mean-spirited from day one. Do I feel sorry for him? Not really. He made a conscious decision to be an asshole and when you do that.... well you reap what you sow.
This has been the season where emotions and revenge rule when it comes to voting for someone. The vote against Charlie...revenge. The votes against Susie... revenge. (And what was that all about anyway? If Corrine and Randy thought they were going to really flip the game, why didn't they target Kenny or Crystal to break up that obvious alliance. Stupid, Stupid People) The vote against Randy... emotional and revenge. The last truly strategic votes were Ace and Marcus.
I see Sugars edit as taking a downswing even though many were rooting for a Randy boot. I viewed her action at the reward of first refusing the cookie and then taking the cookie only to give it to Matty as mean spirited and vengeful. Her getting Bob to give Randy the FHII was not necessary because everyone was already going to vote for Randy and the only reason to give Randy the FHII was to embarrass and humiliate him. (Although Randy did play right into that by deciding BEFORE he even knew whether Bob had found the idol to play a bad-ass to get people to vote for him)
All in all an entertaining episode... one of the best in years.
