No, but she apparently wandered around thinking that it was in her purse for up to a week and didn't even notice that it was missing - that goes in lost territory. It isn't like she got her check, went straight to the bank to deposit it, and then discovered it missing. At the very least, she didn't even write "for deposit only" on the back of it or, hell, take it out of her purse and leave it at home, knowing that she wasn't going to deposit right away.
